Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina

The University of South Carolina is now offering a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree program in Educational Administration with an emphasis in Child Development (CD) at the Lowcountry Graduate Center. The cohort program is designed to prepare professional educators to be leaders in positions at school sites, central offices, agencies and university levels. USC recruits students from diverse backgrounds interested in the scholastic study of national issues regarding the administration of public and private educational institutions for children.

Students pursuing the doctorate will acquire knowledge in educational administration, an identified subject or cognate area, foundations of education and its supporting disciplines, and research methods. The degree is research-oriented, however, those who complete the program may pursue careers as superintendents and administrators, as well as university professors.
