Certified Financial Planner Certificate from the College of Charleston

The Certified Financial Planner™ Certificate program is designed to broaden the financial skills and career opportunities of professionals practicing in the financial services industry, and satisfies the educational requirements of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Successful students in the past have included adults making a career change and those  with no professional financial experience.

The College of Charleston has been offering this program for twelve years with great success. Though the nationwide pass rate on the CFP® exam is 57%, our students have a pass rate of 80%.

 

This academically rigorous and challenging program is offered over an 11-month period. The next program is scheduled to begin February 2010 and applications will be due in January 2010. Courses will meet on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and will be held at the Lowcountry Graduate Center.

CFP® Review Session

The College of Charleston is offering a CFP® Review Session on Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Lowcountry Graduate Center. This session is open to former students who have taken the College of Charleson Certified Financial Planner™ Certification Education program and for individuals who may have taken a CFP® program from another institution and have not yet taken the CFP Exam. The review session is free to those students who completed the CFP® program at the CofC. There is a fee of $100 for individuals who took the CFP® program elsewhere.
