Careers in Quality Manufacturing: Panel Discussion of Interest to Students of Engineering, Computer Science and Advanced Manufacturing

 

North Charleston, SC – The 2017 Lowcountry Manufacturing & Quality Expo will feature a panel discussion of interest to every student pursuing a career in advanced manufacturing, engineering, or computer science on Tuesday, October 3 at 4:30 pm.  The event takes place at the Lowcountry Graduate Center

 

Sponsored by SME Greater Chapter Charleston and ASQ Charleston, the panel discussion on Careers in Quality and Manufacturing will feature speakers from Boeing, Cummins, Daimler, and the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

 

Moderated by Nancy Muller, director of the Lowcountry Graduate Center, the panel discussion will focus on issues such as quality manufacturing, performance evaluation in manufacturing and internships in manufacturing.

 

This free event will take place October 3, 4:30 pm – 6:00 p.m. at the Lowcountry Graduate Center, 3800 Paramount Drive. There is ample parking.

 

Panelists will address their insights to recent college and high school graduates who seek future employment in the burgeoning Lowcountry advanced manufacturing sector.

South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (SCMEP)

The Lowcountry Graduate Center was created in 2001 as a consortium of the College of Charleston, The Citadel and the Medical University of South Carolina. These founding institutions, along with the University of South Carolina, Anderson University, and South Carolina State University, now offer a variety of graduate degrees and certificates at the Lowcountry Graduate Center. Conveniently located in North Charleston, the mission of the Lowcountry Graduate Center is to facilitate and increase access to advanced education by professionals in the workforce, support the region’s employers, and boost economic development in the Lowcountry.
