As the Fall Semester begins for our member and partnering institutions, we want to wish ALL undergrads and grad students a safe and wonderful Fall term!
Over the past year and a half, the COVID-19 pandemic has continually changed the higher education field and impacted the experiences of students, faculty, and staff. Last Spring, the LGC successfully utilized classroom technology to offer hybrid formats for the University of South Carolina’s Master of Social Work program, where students were able to connect virtually through Blackboard Collaborate and participate in classroom discussions. This format continued through the Summer term, yet, we are incredibly excited about the return to face-to-face instruction with safety measures in place under the guidance of Trident Technical College.
Fall 2021 Semester
Since our move to the Thornley Campus of Trident Technical College a year ago, we have been lucky to welcome The Citadel’s Lowcountry Principal Service Program and the University of South Carolina’s Master of Social Work to our new location, with classes resuming Spring 2021 after a year of remote learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the Fall 2021 semester, we are excited to welcome back UofSC Master of Social Work graduate students with full face-to-face instruction. With six (6) courses being offered, the 107 students who make up the Charleston cohort will be learning as much as possible regarding the field of social work.
