About the Program
Students pursuing Biomedical Science follow a first-year core curriculum designed and administrated by the College of Graduate Studies. This first year curriculum provides a broad interdisciplinary background devoted predominately to the principles of the basic sciences. It also provides information on some of the latest and cutting edge areas of science. After their first year, Biomedical Sciences choose a major advisor for their dissertation research and a departmental or interdepartmental major/program for their further training.
