Joint MA Program in English
The Joint MA Program in English hosted by the College of Charleston and The Citadel is pleased to announce the launch of an online pathway for our established MA in English. All courses will be taught by faculty at The Citadel and CofC, and prospective students are welcome to take courses without committing to the full degree.
There are no letters of recommendation, GRE, or writing sample required for summer courses for those who apply as a non-degree-seeking student.
This program will appeal to a range of working professionals, from those who are seeking intellectual enrichment to those looking to sharpen their research and writing skills. The program is a particularly good fit for English Language Arts teachers, since those working towards an MA can earn recertification credits and gain credentials necessary to teach college-level and dual-enrollment courses, as well as Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate classes.
Priority application deadline is April 30, with rolling admissions throughout the summer.
Read more about our online course offerings this summer on our joint program website.
Please feel free to contact Dr. Licia Hendriks, MA program director at The Citadel ([email protected]) or Dr. Anton Vander Zee, MA program director at CofC ([email protected]) with any questions.
The Citadel is hosting its CGC Spring Open House next Wednesday, 12 April, so prospective students could also come discover more about the program there.
